New this year! Faith & Culture Writers Contest!

[Thank you to all who entered the First Annual FCWC Writing Contest! We look forward to reading them all along with our judges. The winner and the two other finalists will be announced at the event! In fairness to those who reached the Feb. 5, 2014 deadline, we are sorry that we are unable to accept additional submissions. Please consider entering our contest next year, or submitting your work to our blog. See you March 7-8 at George Fox University Faith & Culture Writers Conference ]

Words are the vehicle which God used to create the foundation of the world. God has chosen our voices to speak of and about him. Our diversity quilted together in the communion of stories reflects God’s workmanship in us. Faith and Culture aims at stitching together these stories to explore a fresh perspective on life and the living God.

Prompt

“God has filled us with the Spirit of God, with skill, with intelligence, with knowledge, and with all the craftsmanship, to devise artistic designs…for work in every skilled craft.” Exodus 35:31-33

We encourage you to sit with this verse and write what comes to mind. Five words to draw inspiration from are: diverse, fresh, craftsmanship, voice, and wisdom. It is with great joy we get to reflect on what God has done in our lives. We want to hear your story!
