Shane Blackshear Shane Blackshear is a Jesus follower, blogger, speaker & host of a podcast called Seminary Dropout. When Shane was 24, he and some friends planted a church. They were young, naive, and excited. Shane served as the pastor there for about 5 years.
Shane is a contributor to the book Father Factor that was released on October 14th, 2014. His blog posts have been featured on “Church Leaders” blog. He is also currently writing a book with John Perkins.
Shane was previously a part of a church in Austin called Mosaic which disbanded earlier this year. Shane is not yet a member of another church but has been attending David Chapel Baptist Church.
Shane lives in Austin, TX with his wife Kate, and daughter Margot. We are happy to welcome Shane for the first time to the Faith & Culture Writers Conference.
