Writing fiction is a fun excuse for Melanie Dobson to explore ghost towns and cemeteries, interview fascinating people, and spend hours reading old books and journals. She has been writing contemporary and historical fiction for fifteen years and is the award-winning author of fourteen novels including Château of Secrets, The Silent Order and The Courier of Caswell Hall. Two of her novels recently won Carol Awards, and Love Finds You in Liberty, Indiana won Best Novel of Indiana in 2010.
Melanie and her family live near Portland, Oregon and attend Westside: A Jesus Church. She is the former corporate publicity manager at Focus on the Family and is currently an adjunct instructor at George Fox University. She is a dear friend of the Faith & Culture Writers Conference.
