Elizabeth Chapin

Elizabeth has been accused of talking about sex all the time.

After growing up in the free-love-and-sex culture of Woodstock, Elizabeth got involved with Campus Crusade for Christ (CRU) while in college at Ohio State. She has been wrestling with the disparity between the messages about sex she received growing up and those she hears in the church ever since.

She graduated with a BA in Communication, moved to Santa Cruz and got involved with youth and young adult ministry while working as a technical writer in the software industry. She met her husband of 22 years at work and they currently live in Seattle, WA with their four daughters ages 15, 17, 19, and 21.

Elizabeth is currently working on her first book for InterVarsity Press about sex talks with girls.

Elizabeth has an MA in Ministry Leadership, teaches online for George Fox Evangelical Seminary, and is continuing her graduate studies in Religion and Gender at The University of Washington. She dreams of getting a PhD someday.

When she is not writing, teaching, or studying, Elizabeth enjoys singing, playing guitar, sci-fi books or movies, and watching The Simpsons with her family.
